What Is Zoom Teeth Whitening?

Posted on 8/7/2023 by Evan
What Is Zoom Teeth Whitening? There are many ways a dental specialist can use to whiten your teeth. The effectiveness of the results will be determined by the process. Most times the dentist has to do an initial examination of your teeth and gums to decide on the right method to use on a patient.

Teeth decolorization is brought about by many factors including aging, the lifestyle we live, foods, drinks like coffee, and smoking among others. Some of these factors will determine the kind of treatment you will undergo. Zoom teeth whitening is among the most effective ways to achieve good results and restore that bright smile you have been longing for.

How it Works

A dentist will clean your mouth to remove plaque and any food debris that may still be hidden in the teeth as they may interfere with the process of whitening the teeth. The lips and gums are then covered with a retractor, a tool used in surgery. The retractor aids in keeping the mouth open during the process so that the dentist can have full access to your mouth. A whitening gel comprising hydrogen peroxide as the main ingredient is then applied on the teeth' surface.

Hydrogen peroxide is a whitening agent on its own but after the application, the dentist will direct the Zoom light on the gel to make it more active. The gel is left for fifteen minutes and then removed, and the process is repeated several times, unit the correct brightness of teeth is achieved. The Zoom light will help the bleaching power in hydrogen peroxide to penetrate inside the enamel and the dentin breaking away stubborn stains.

Caring For Your Teeth After The Process

You will get results immediately after the procedure. A dentist will then give you a kit to help you take care of your teeth. Brush and floss as usual and maintain visits to the dentist.
