You Need to Prioritize Your Oral Health

Posted on 2/21/2022 by Evan
You Need to Prioritize Your Oral HealthSince your oral health can affect your entire body, we feel it is imperative that you take care of your teeth and gums. Many people do not realize how interconnected our body really is. Taking care of your oral health could benefit your body in unexpected ways.

Tooth Decay Can Happen Without You Noticing a Problem

It is important to prioritize your oral health. Brushing your teeth twice a day is the most important thing you can do. Make sure you use a soft bristled toothbrush, for at least two minutes per brushing session, and replace your toothbrush three or four times a year. Flossing is important too. Make sure you do that once a day for optimal oral health. Having a routine is important. Brush and floss your teeth every day.

Since tooth decay can happen without any symptoms, it is important to stay on top of your oral health. Prioritize your appointments with us as well. We will do a thorough cleaning and dental checkup. We will inspect each tooth and look for any signs of inflammation in your gums. We will check your dental records and keep them updated. If you need x-rays, we will do that at your appointment. X-rays are important as we can see a detailed picture of your teeth and determine if you have any tooth decay. We can also see if you have any impacted or obstructed teeth. Lastly, x-rays help us to check your fillings to see if you have any dental cracks.
