Following the initial consultation, the preparation phase will begin. You will then be asked to come back in a few days' time. During this period, you will have a temporary crown covering your teeth. Once the new crown is ready, the it will be fixed into place using dental cement.
The initial consultation is the same for same-day crowns as it is for multi-day crowns, involving an x-ray and mold of your oral cavity. The only difference between the two is that same-day crowns are made within one to two hours of waiting time using CAD/CAM technology. Hence, this makes getting a same-day crown a more convenient and faster procedure.
